BioWare’s Anthem may have been delayed until early 2019, according to a report by Kotaku.
According to the report, both Edmonton and Austin studios are “all-in on Anthem,” due to a lot riding on the game’s success. The recent loot box diabolical and Destiny 2’s growing pains are pushing BioWare to ensure the game meets its expectations.
Anthem’s first gameplay reveal was during Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference and slated for a 2018 release window. However, according to a source in the Kotaku article that window was “never realistic.”
Neither EA or BioWare have commented on the matter.
